3-26-15 Van Horn to Fort Davis 90 miles

With the tornadoes in Oklahoma, the winds blew down to Texas, creating a wind warning for truckers over night.  We waited until morning to see if the wind warning was lifted, which it was. Winds went down to 25-30 mph so we took off.  Unfortunately I am now the leader in the Flat Tire Derby...had another flat tire (rear) on the 40 miles of I-10.

3-25-15 Fort Hancock to Van Horn, TX 74 miles

We had a variety of riding today.  We had smooth SR 192, chip seal for 14 miles, a short jaunt on Interstate 10, chip seal frontage road for 40 miles, and finally back on the Interstate for the last 9 with a tremendous tail wind!  A tail wind was with us all day, which helped a lot, starting light and getting stronger as the day progressed.  : )

Tomorrow we head for Fort Davis, TX ~ 90 miles.

3-24-15 El Paso to Fort Hancock, TX 58 miles

Recovery ride today!  We made it out of El Paso, TX through suburban business districts and soon were in the outlying areas and small clusters of houses here and there.  The roads were smooth, and we had a wonderful tail wind that allowed us to ride along between 18-22 mph!
