3-29-15 Marathon to Sanderson, TX 54 miles

We had only 54 miles from Marathon to Sanderson, with a tail wind and more downhill than up! I think we are still recovering from last Thursday's 90 mile challenge ride, and once we got going the first 15 miles, we finally got going. Aside of the heat, which hit at the very end of the ride (104 degrees), it was a nice ride.

3-28-15 Fort Davis to Marathon, TX 60 miles

The 60 miles went quickly today. It started out very cold...in the mid 30's. By the time we actually left at 8 am, it was in the low 40's. We rode downhill to the town of Fort Davis, and were suddenly hit with another 10 degrees warmer and sunshine! Fortunately, Suzy, our Sag for today, came along just as we needed to stow all our warm weather gear! The rest of the day ended up climbing to the 90's! Our only town before Marathon was Alpine, TX and many stopped for an early lunch.
