4-26-15 Crawfordville to Perry, FL 54 miles

There were not too many miles today which gave us an opportunity to take a side trip to the Wakulla Springs. We were able to take a boat tour of the Springs, and Alex, Judy and Wendy even jumped off the high board!  After lunch we rode into Perry.

4-25-15 Marianna to Quincy, FL 54 miles

It was another day of waiting out a morning lightning storm.  We only had 54 miles today, but we were still anxious to get going.  Rain is only water, but lightning is another thing.  Finally we were able to safely get going.

The roads were wet, and we had quite a few hills today. There was a lot of flooded areas, especially along the road side and along rivers, but Florida is prepared for that. We are all expecting that the Florida Panhandle would be almost flat, but not today!

4-24-15 Crestview to Marianna, FL 94 miles

Today we rode 90 miles on SR 90 ~ actually 94 miles.  It wasn't exactly flat, but the roads were smooth and we were determined to complete our last big ride!  Patricia and I rode together today.  We formed our own pace line which worked out well for both of us.  We took an extra couple of miles on a side trip around a nice lake in a quiet neighborhood.  It was a break from the head wind we had all day.

4-23-15 Pensacola to Crestview, FL 70 miles

The ride today was sunny and quiet!  We enjoyed a nice bike path and riding in a wooded area.  As we were riding along suddenly it sounded like a shot rang out!  It was Therese's tire!  She had a pinch flat (not her fault!).

After getting in, I called a bike shop to see if they had a bottom bracket bearing for my bike.  It was "creaking" and of course, difficult to locate the part I needed.  Jude and Therese took me to the bike shop that was supposed to have it.  However, it wasn't the correct size, but they did the best they could to give me a temporary fix.  It may still creak, but assured me I will make it to St. Augustine.

Gary who thought he had the berring part and spent 30 min. trying to do a temporary fix on my bike!
