In Bandon I went into the Cranberry Candy shop. There were lots of samples, and I ended up purchasing some cranberry jell covered in dark chocolate. (Well, it was DARK chocolate.) Have to admit I was the proverbial kid in the candy shop. Mike had already been there on previous occasions, so she waited outside patiently, guarding the bikes while I went a little crazy in the candy store!

Saturday, October 6, 2012 Florence to Bandon, OR 78 miles
It was a long day today in many ways! We had a 78 mile route, we ended up walking a mile over a bridge, there were many steep, long hills, lots of chip seal (rough pavement), and one accident. (She's fine) On the other hand, the scenery was beautiful, many 100 ft + trees, sand dune recreational areas, many rolling hills that were fun to race down and up the other side, lots of laughs with good company, and the satisfaction that we accomplished what we did today!
