Yesterday was our first day of real hills ~ 4,000 ft of climb, mostly in the second half. Today was predicted to be quite rainy all day, temps in the low 50's, and hills with 5,700 ft of climb. For those reasons, almost everyone decided to not ride at all. There were six hardy souls (not me) that decided to ride in the cold rain spite of the challenges. As it turned out, they were eventually picked up, mostly because of being too exhausted to do the hills. Several did reach the 70 mile mark, which was amazing!
As scheduled our ride leader, Denise, left today, being replaced by Michelle.
A little bit of rain... but I know you guys are tough!
