2011-06-19 Sodus Point to Polaski, NY

Did I ever complain because the roads were flat and tedious?  If so, I take it back.  We are starting a hilly part of the trip as we head toward the Adirondacks here in NY.  We counted the number of hills where we had to get into our lower gears (not counting the rolling hills), and we came up with 21!  It was a beautiful day, however, and the temps were in the upper 60's, with a very cool head wind coming off Lake Ontario.  The roads were good, some with very wide shoulders.

Tomorrow we are heading for Old Forge, NY, almost 80 miles with lots of hills.  The weather is supposed to be in the high 60's with light winds.  I will be driving the Sag vehicle (support and gear), so my bike will be carried on top of the van tomorrow.  Each day will be a hill-climbing challenge, so I will be getting my turn for two days 86 miles and 46 miles.
