Tuesday, August 13 Glenwood Hot Springs to Aspen, CO

Today we rode from Glenwood to Aspen on the Glenwood Springs Trail and the  Rio Grande Trail.  The first 6 miles were quite flat.  Then after 33 miles of climbing at 2-3% grade the bike trail changed to softly packed gravel for 5 miles.  The total climb was 1,716 ft, but over a total of 44 miles, that was barely noticeable.  It was a beautiful day, and we stopped for a healthy lunch at the Woody Cooperative Cafe.
