3-17-15 Globe to Safford, AZ 78 miles

The ride yesterday was a challenge, and we were hoping for a reprieve.  The hills were not as big but they were constant - as was the head wind.  The shoulders had cracks every ten feet that were forced up over time, so we all felt it in the saddle!  The highlight of the day was a stop at Taylor's Foster Freeze where I got a root beer float with real ice cream!  At that point we only had eight miles to go, and it was a smooth ride in!

    1. Yes, it is. Now that I have two new Gatorskin tires I can pay more attention to the scenery! Until then I was leading the "Flat tire Race" with 5 flat tires! Dubious distinction!

    1. Good weather so far. Rain is in the forecast for New Mexico, however. There is a reason it is greener!!
